Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

  • Facilitate contextual adoption of the Scrum Framework, including daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews & retrospectives, and other related team and intra-team meetings
  • Facilitate contextual adoption of Lean Thinking, including visualization and continuous optimization of delivery flow using the Kanban Method
  • Facilitate and participate in scaled events, including cross-team planning, delivery synchronization, and systems-level inspect & adapt
  • Foster team collaboration and proactive, open communication
  • Encourage an experimental and fail-fast & learn mindset
  • Sustain and promote usage of information radiators for the teams and broader organization
  • Collect and share transparent team metrics with teams, recommend new metrics for the team’s context, and foster continuous improvement conversations using metrics
  • Prepare and facilitate quarterly, release, and sprint planning with the product owner and the team
  • Guide Feature and Story-level refinement to the Definition of “Ready” in preparation for the next quarter and upcoming sprints
  • Work with the team and Product Owner/Managers to maintain a healthy backlog and rolling short and mid-term planning for upcoming releases
  • Able to put ego to the side and the “desire to control” the team by teaching and mentoring increasing levels of self-organizing behavior
  • Engage the organization to remove impediments to the team’s ability to perform by working closely with the team and stakeholders, including product owners/managers, leadership, and other teams
  • Support communication of delivery progress, gaps, and obstacles with a wide variety of stakeholders; coach product owners/managers to play an active role in stakeholder engagement
  • Facilitate cross-team orchestration, tracking and following up with internal and external dependencies
  • Act as a buffer between external distractions and the focused environment the team needs to be successful. Where beneficial, protect the team and minimize disruptions
  • Coordinate with infrastructure teams on environment setups & maintenance, deployments, and production releases
  • Forms and guides teams to high performance by helping the team navigate interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth. Create and sustain an environment of psychological safety and trust among team members, and between the team and the larger organization
  • Works with team to co-create and refine team working agreement, definition of “ready”, and definition of “done”
  • Encourages brainstorming, creative thinking, open minds, equal voice and perspective sharing. Encourages the team to be confident and courageous, thinking outside the box.
  • Coaches the team on Lean, Agile, and Scrum principles with a goal of continuous improvement. Able to subtly observe team dynamics, recognize strengths and growth opportunities of individual team members and her/himself, and invite team members into coaching conversations to inspire learning and growth.
  • Create a fun, open, and learning environment, experimenting with various methods to improve and grow
  • Promote teamwork to enable Lean flow of value and achieving sprint goals
  • Lead the teams towards increasing levels of growth in the Lean/Agile context.
  • Participate in scaling Lean/Agile adoption throughout adjacent areas of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates are ideally based in the Salt Lake City, UT area
  • BA/BS degree in related field and 5 years of related experience; MS with 3 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 5+ years experience applying both the Scrum Framework and Kanban Method in growing high performing teams as a fulltime practitioner
  • Experience as a Scrum Master and/or Kanban Coach at an organization that is committed to Lean-Agile as its core approach for delivering business value
  • Experience guiding Lean/Agile team journeys in the context of cloud infrastructure and DevOps
  • Experience with applying test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery capabilities to achieve delivery speed and operational stability
  • Experience using Lean/Agile collaboration tools like Rally

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience influencing positive and impactful change in organizations working towards Lean/Agile adoption, learning, and growth
  • Experience and core values are our top selection criteria; however, certifications help represent one’s desire to build knowledge. Some certifications to be considered include LeanKanban Unversity’s TKP, Scrum.org’s PSM, Scrum Alliance’s CSM

Electrical Project Manager

Responsibilities of the Electrical Project Manager:   

  • Play a crucial role on our global Plant Systems team, designing, developing, engineering, integrating and implementing complex plant systems for mineral processing and mining projects.

Qualifications of the Electrical Project Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or closely related technical field (current PE license, a plus).
  • 7+ years’ relevant engineering experience, including mineral handling / processing, mining, metallurgy, etc. (project management / leadership background, highly valuable).
  • Experience developing, designing and delivering complex plant systems for mineral mining.
  • Demonstrable interpersonal skills to collaborate with and direct multicultural, international teammates.
  • Proficiency in computer aided design and drafting software, including AuotCAD and FreeCAD.
  • High customer service competence to maintain strong relationships internally and externally.

Overview

Credence Management Solutions, LLC (Credence) is seeking a Unit Deployment Manager for a contract contingent position supporting flying squadron operations.  The focus of work is supporting non-flying duties in ANG squadrons that traditionally utilized aircrew to fill the duties. 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of individuals for deployments/re-deployments to/from combat zones, exercises, and other locations based on State, US Government, DOD, AF, ANG, COCOM, and any other applicable guidance.
  • Manage deployment reporting to include Unit Type Code posturing; Air Expeditionary Force Reporting Tool (ART), AF-IT, DRRS; and individual status updates
  • Coordinate and schedule required pre-departure training with the deploying personnel, their supervisor, and DOS. The UDM requires access to the “Automated Civil Engineering System” (ACES), “Defense Readiness Reporting System” (DRRS) and the “Security Forces Management Information System” (SFMIS) for scheduling pre-deployment training and monthly readiness reporting.
  • Coordinate Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 2A training requirements
  • Assess and track deployment uniform and gear needs as specified by organizations/requirements, maintain/inventory uniform and gear once acquired, and distribute equipment and gear for deploying personnel utilizing current host base and AFI guidance.
  • Prepare and submit a list of requirements for purchase to squadron leadership in support of mobility/UDM requirements.
  • Use LOGMOD and Excel to track pre-deployment/post-deployment mobility, logistics, security, ancillary training, medical, and dental requirements.
  • Interface with Government-designated Commercial Travel Office (CTO), Air Mobility Command liaison officers, and unit/group/wing resource advisors to arrange and/or de-conflict deployment/re-deployment travel.
  • Coordinate with wing, base, State, and higher headquarters offices on deployment issues and maintain mobility folders/documentation IAW DoD Foreign Clearance Guide, AFI 10-244, AFI 10-403, AFI 33-332, AFI 37-132, associated AFCENT/MAJCOM/Installation supplements, and locally-developed guidance.
  • Generate the following reports/forms as required due first duty day to Operations Officer or Delegate:
    • Squadron mobility status report
    • Status of members tasked to deploy report
    • AEF Reporting Tool Database Updates
    • AF-IT and DRRS report

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate
  • Candidates must be able to complete a favorably-adjudicated background investigation in accordance with HSPD-12 to access a Government furnished information system or environment

  • Experience working in a DoD unit (Active Duty, Guard/Reserve, Contractor or Civilian).

Stage 2 (S2) Security is looking for an Agile Project Manager & Scrum Master with cyber security knowledge preferred. As an Agile Project Manager and Scrum Master you will work with S2’s engineering teams to facilitate the Agile development process of our Adversary Simulation, Detection, and Response platform (aka MAGE), and identify areas of improvement between S2’s engineering teams. Our MAGE platform enables us to provide continuous Testing & Monitoring of our client’s information systems via our various Managed Security Services (MSS) offerings. 

This position allows remote telework within the US. Since 2014, approximately half of the current team at S2 has been executing work via remote telework. We also have small offices in the DC/VA area near Tysons Corner, as well near Salt Lake City (SLC) Utah, in the Silicon Slopes ( https://siliconslopes.com/ ) area. 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Facilitate communication and collaboration and identify ways to improve the efficiency of the engineering/development team. 

  • Responsible for managing the development lifecycle from requirements through delivery. 

  • Responsible to identify and remove the impediments for the team. 

  • Monitor and report on team progress, manage tools to track stories and bugs to complete resolution. 

  • Schedule and conduct meeting such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, demos, and requirements gathering. 

  • Document decisions and plans as they are made. 

  • Groom backlog and ensure up-to-date status in software management tools (e.g. Jira) and recording of all relevant information.

Qualifications: 

The selected candidate is required to have:

  • Knowledge of agile methodologies and frameworks and how to apply them. 

  • Ability to resolve conflict and manage expectations

  • Strong knowledge of Agile theory, rules and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years’ experience as a Scrum Master for a software development team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory.
  • Prior experience building and testing software or implementing DevOps
  • Knowledge of other approaches in the Agile space: Kanban, Lean, etc.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games, etc.
  • Good skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and increasing transparency.
  • Experience applying a wide variety of well documented patterns and techniques for filling in the intentional gaps left in the Scrum approach (example: numerous Burndown techniques, numerous Retrospective formats, handling bugs, etc.)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to communication anywhere from the team level to C-level executives.

  • Leadership role in a large-scale Agile transformation

  • Facilitate contextual adoption of the Scrum Framework, including daily scrum, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews & retrospectives, and other related team and intra-team meetings

Qualifications:

  • Candidates are ideally based in the Salt Lake City, UT area
  • BA/BS degree in related field and 5 years of related experience; MS with 3 years experience; or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
  • 5+ years experience applying both the Scrum Framework and Kanban Method in growing high performing teams as a fulltime practitioner
  • Experience as a Scrum Master and/or Kanban Coach at an organization that is committed to Lean-Agile as its core approach for delivering business value
  • Experience guiding Lean/Agile team journeys in the context of cloud infrastructure and DevOps
  • Experience with applying test automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery capabilities to achieve delivery speed and operational stability
