Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a monthly ASC 606 revenue recognition reporting and reconciliation process
  • Review and document components of revenue contracts
  • Manage revenue transactional data and provide analysis to controller on revenue generating transactions by customer
  • Record month end journal entries for revenue, cost of sales, inter-company allocations and long term assets for both management reporting and GAAP reporting
  • Perform month end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support controller and accounting manager with technical ad hoc projects
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable teams as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting
  • CPA a plus, not required
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Familiarity with the principles of US GAAP Topic ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong data management skills
  • Familiarity with sequel and relational databases
  • Experience using PowerBI for data cleansing, manipulation and visualization

GENERAL SUMMARY

Oversees the payroll processes for the Springfield Public Schools and the City of Springfield. Provides external reporting to state and federal authorities for employees’ gross wages and benefits. Works closely with Human Resources to be certain that employees are paid both timely and accurately.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervises staff, which includes prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff is trained; ensuring employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary recommendations.
  • Directs the activities of the department, which includes planning, coordinating, administering, and evaluating programs, projects, processes, procedures, systems, standards, and/or service offerings; ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and/or standards.
  • Provides detailed analysis of employees by non bargaining and bargaining unit for compliance with contracts for rates of pay. Reviews individuals on a regular basis for payroll anomalies.
  • Reviews each payroll for City and SPS each week prior to posting from an overall balancing perspective to make sure pay and deduction amounts appear reasonable.
  • Provides daily maintenance of the Employee Self Service Module. Reviews and responds appropriately to employee concerns with compensation, profile concerns, and general system access to reduce the number of phone calls for general information.
  • Verifies payroll data and submission to MA Teachers' Retirement System monthly.
  • Balances and files Form 941 for the DOR and IRS quarterly, balances and files Form W2 with employees, DOR and SSA at year end. Balances and files DUA for unemployment data quarterly.
  • Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.

MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and at least 5 years experience in accounting.

Appropriate education substitutions can be made.

Summary:

The Senior Account Executive is an advanced account management position. This role requires management of a large book of business, more than five years of experience in an Account Executive role, and advanced designations. The Senior Account Executive will provide a high level of sales support to the Producer and customer service to clients. The Senior Account Executive is responsible for assisting clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. The Senior Account Executive will work with the Producer to design and recommend proper insurance and risk management programs to Agency clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Meets directly with clients. Negotiates and sells lines of insurance to clients. Designs insurance and risk management plans for clients as assigned and directed by Agency management. Provides clients with full exposure analysis and reviews methods of handling risks. Works with the Producer to write new business accounts. Sells in place of Producer.
  • Leads accounts through the renewal process per department procedures. Markets accounts to insurance carriers.
  • Maintains records according to Agency standards to ensure that procedures are properly followed and that information is readily accessible.
  • Assists in the development of strong personal relationships with appropriate insurance carrier personnel. Assists Agency in developing carrier relationships by becoming familiar with and executing strategies developed for satisfying carrier goals and objectives.

The Senior Buyer will be accountable for the purchase of a wide variety of materials, equipment, and services in support of the manufacturing of the world’s most popular playing Card game, Trading Card Game, and Board Game brands in the world!

What You'll Do as Senior Buyer:

  • Distribute bid packages for obtaining quotes to identify and establish appropriate sources of supply
  • Negotiate specifications, price, service, delivery, quality, and other factors
  • Track and monitor key cost drivers and market factors and prepare market updates as required
  • Maintain long-term relationships with suppliers supporting cost, quality, delivery, and inventory objectives
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to support a competitive advantage and cost reduction targets and opportunities

Join a rapidly growing team of professionals who are out to disrupt and transform the insurance and automotive retail industry. The accounting department is looking for a data driven Senior Accountant to join the team who has experience working in a fast-paced monthly close environment, collaborating with others across the organization and specializes in US GAAP revenue recognition principles.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Build and develop a monthly ASC 606 revenue recognition reporting and reconciliation process
  • Review and document components of revenue contracts
  • Manage revenue transactional data and provide analysis to controller on revenue generating transactions by customer
  • Record month end journal entries for revenue, cost of sales, inter-company allocations and long term assets for both management reporting and GAAP reporting
  • Perform month end balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Support controller and accounting manager with technical ad hoc projects
  • Support accounts payable and accounts receivable teams as necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in accounting
  • CPA a plus, not required
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Familiarity with the principles of US GAAP Topic ASC 606 revenue recognition principles
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Strong data management skills
  • Familiarity with sequel and relational databases
  • Experience using PowerBI for data cleansing, manipulation and visualization
