The successful candidate will w ork with the existing Development Team Product Owner to find optimal technical solutions. The IT Business Analyst should have:

  • Practical experience of BDD
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and experience in leading agile ceremonies

We are looking for enthusiasm, creativity and initiative, to continually innovate and develop improvements to the reporting systems and processes that we operate. Working with staff in the BI team and wider Informatics department, you will support the flow of information throughout the organisation to improve insight into activity, performance and quality of care.

This will require working with staff at a range of levels within the organisation such as; information staff, service users and leads, other relevant stakeholders including heads of services/directors.

What's the job like

As a PMO Analyst at QA, your job will entail the below:

  • RAID: knowledge of Risks, Assumptions, Issues & Dependencies management on engagements. Be able to identify RAID items and take appropriate mitigations/actions.

As a technical analyst, you'll work within an organisation, helping to manage, change and plan for the future in line with their goals. Helping technical teams deliver business aim and ambitions. This could be for one specific project, or as a permanent feature of the organisation. You will need to understand the organisational situation, evaluate customer needs and work alongside technical teams to deliver successful solutions.

Although this role is advertised with a specific location you would need to be geographically flexible and willing to relocate anywhere in the UK.

What's the job like

As a Technical Business Analyst at QA, you'll bring your expertise to our customers, helping business to work effectively with technology teams to leverage technical know-how with top-class analysis and customer engagement skills.

You'll...

  • Communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • Work with external stakeholders to understand and investigate feedback into the service, function or product provided
  • Analyse the structure of a business, how it uses technology and what its goals are
  • Analyse and visualise data to make informed business decisions
  • Use data modelling practices to analyse your findings and create suggestions for strategic and operational improvements and changes
  • Consider opportunities and potential risks attached to suggestions you make
  • Identify the processes and information technology required to introduce your recommendations
  • Use agile and design thinking skill to interpret user requirements and develop effective digital services and user experiences
  • Oversee the implementation of new technology and systems
  • Gain agreement, usually from senior management, of the best method of introducing your recommendations to the business
  • Communicate the benefits of your recommendations across departments and help to address any uncertainty and concern
  • Produce written documentation to support your work, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders when necessary
  • Support staff and teams in making your recommended changes, including helping to resolve any issues
  • Ensure plans are made and processes are created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation

As a Technical Business Analyst, you will work with the development team product owner to find optimal technical solutions, analyse and model existing processes and technical implementations to feed into the platform migration plan. You will also work with the Product Owner to maintain the roadmap and sprint backlogs, create user stories with appropriate technical detail and acceptance criteria and facilitate workshops to gather and analyse requirements.

The Successful Technical Business Analyst should have:
  • Significant experience working closely with technology teams and writing stories with a technical bias
  • Significant experience in modelling existing and to be processes and solutions
  • Practical experience of BDD
  • Extremely strong communication, interpersonal skills and experience in leading agile ceremonies
  • A technical background including experience working with relational/NoSql databases programming languages (ideally c# but any coding experience is beneficial)
  • Experience working with and modelling HTTP APIs (preferably REST/JSON)
