The Senior Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the leadership/development and coaching of the team. Performance Management will be carried out by you. This role also leads the technical team in providing both a reactive and pro-active maintenance service on all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure within the site. The role has a direct impact on the site, its productivity and operational success. If equipment is not available or performs badly it minimizes the capacity and throughput of the site.
Senior Maintenance Technician Responsibilities:
  • To provide supervision and leadership to Maintenance Technicians.
  • To develop training plans for direct reports.
  • To carry out Performance Reviews.
  • To develop and deliver Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • To install, maintain, and troubleshoot all site systems including power distribution, automated material handling equipment, conveyance, packaging machines, labeling machines, HVAC and all other operational equipment.
  • Experience in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting any of the following: relay logic, ladder diagrams, controls components, sensors & scanners, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, sorters and encoders.
  • Preferably with experience working on PLC's and PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic, components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet).

What do we need from you I hear you ask?

You’re going to need to be a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer, preferably electrically biased. You will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing site, ideally fmcg but would also consider heavy industry, automotive, recycling etc. You must have at least 5 years hands on experience working as a multi-skilled maintenance engineer ideally with some team leader/supervisory experience.

As a Senior Maintenance Engineer your role will be hands on 50% and desk based 50% where you will be updating the brand new CMMS system, dealing with contractors, ordering spares and organising the team.  You will be the first point of call for decision making so you need to be able to take ownership of this

Obviously, from time to time you will perform Reactive Maintenance, but you’ll have a real chance at driving efficiency and improvement across the site.

Duties and common issues include dealing with motor changes, working on robots, packaging systems, Pick and place robots, labellers, conveyor systems and much more automated machinery.

The working hours are 38 hours per week, meaning you will be earning £19-21ph, not bad for no nights! You will also finish early on a Friday – 12pm on the morning shifts and 8pm on the afternoon shift.

You can easily earn over £40,000 per year with overtime

JOB SPECIFICATION: Service Engineer : Process & Packaging Machinery
This is a classic Field Service Engineer role involving repair, refurbishment, service, installation and commissioning of process & packaging machinery sold to the food industry. Staying away from home for up to 1 to 2 nights per week on average and being available to cover &/or work 1 weekend in 4 for 10 months of the year but less if desirable.
REQUIREMENTS: Service Engineer : Process & Packaging Machinery
· You MUST have a proven track record as a Field Service Engineer ideally working on capital equipment in the food industry
· Ideally you will have hands on experience of packaging or process machinery
· The company WILL consider an experienced Maintenance Engineer who has worked on packaging & / or process machinery for a food manufacturer
· Lastly you MUST repeat MUST, be a qualified Electrical / Electronic Engineer who also has hands on mechanical engineering experience

Service Engineer

Due to new opportunities and business growth an exciting position has become available for a full time Service Engineer to join a friendly team based in Bromsgrove. The successful candidate will earn £22,000 - £25,000pa dependent on experience.  This job role involves the testing and repair of medical devices. Full training for the role will be provided.

Role Requirements

•Previous experience in a production or electronics-based role would be an advantage.
•Availability for an immediate start would be an advantage.
•Own transport, or a means of getting to and from the premises on Saxon Business Park is essential

Role Responsibilities

•Assess, service and repair as required medical equipment in line with customer procedures
•To ensure that key performance indicators are met for customers in this area, including repair turnaround times, reliability, PM completion.
•Complete all service paperwork and documentation to the agreed standard.
•Responsible for maintaining work area and test equipment in a safe, compliant, and tidy condition.
•Maintain compliance to all company standards and adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management.
•To proactively seek to improve the process and service delivery provided by the company
