The Software Engineer Opportunity:

We’re looking for candidates to fill a Senior Software Engineer role in our digital agency business. We’re looking for someone who is an accomplished engineer who understands the value of doing things the right way, not the quick way.

You will already have several years of commercial development experience, with a strong grasp of the web and how it works. You should have a strong portfolio of work across application development, content management and infrastructure management.

You should have a deep understanding of Python or another dynamic language, as well as experience with MVC frameworks (e.g. Django, Rails), and knowledge of CMS products (e.g. Sitecore, Django CMS). You should have knowledge of Linux administration and networking, and AWS product knowledge is very desirable. You should be familiar with container technology, and be comfortable building CI/CD pipelines.

You should be adept at applying your engineering experience and problem-solving abilities to our client’s needs. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable presenting to an audience, as you’ll work with the software engineering team to lead development best-practices and mentor your colleagues, as well as occasionally assisting in business development.

As part of your role you’ll be working on green-field projects, while researching new techniques, and working with new APIs. You’ll also work to maintain our existing software and systems, manage our infrastructure.

We support all our staff by providing training, conference tickets, and a work environment which encourages best practices.

You’ll be part of our fully-remote development team, and you’ll be provided with brand new, state-of-the-art hardware.

We're looking for a talented SeniorEmbedded Software Engineer, with a proven track record of software development using C++ and/or Java in an embedded environment, to work on cutting-edge embedded software projects, as a part of an agile team.

How You'll Spend Your Time:

You will work in an agile environment reporting to a Group Lead or Project Manager and will have considerable exposure to our clients and other partners. You'll be a key part of planning, design, development, debugging and integration of embedded software modules for cutting edge broadcast and internet TV receivers (set-top boxes). You'll create new features while also supporting the C++ debugging team, which will be around a 60/40 split of your time. We are recruiting for talented Frontend Software Developers to join a leading Tech company in Manchester City Centre to work within their Agile, Frontend team who are developing a new micro client front end architecture, to allow them to launch new sites and brands – all part of their strategy towards becoming a market leading online retailer across UK and Europe.

This is an exciting Frontend Developer role which is perfect for an Engineer who can demonstrate a background shipping awesome software for enterprise level platforms - within a fast-paced Agile environment, focussing on continuous delivery.

The new platform has been developed using Next.js supported by a component library using React and Storybook, and their microclients are built on Node.js – so experience in these technologies would be advantageous. However, if you are a Frontend specialist with a polyglot mindset who is keen to use different languages, we want to hear from you.
