What You Will Do

  • Build scalable and reliable software solutions for internal and external projects
  • Participate in rapid prototyping sprints with designers and product managers
  • Lead backend development and architecture
  • Improve the team through quality code reviews
  • Create standards and reusable components to help us scale faster and more efficiently

What You Will Bring

  • Examples of secure and elegant software development on production systems
  • 5+ years of prior engineering experience
  • Fluency in modern Javascript frameworks including: Node, React, Angular and Express
  • Significant experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc) and non-relational databased (MongoDB)
  • Experience working with Django and Python

    Globelet is looking for an individual to lead our Technical team and take on our next round of ambitious goals. We're seeking the right blend of player/coach to help hire, lead, and manage our Technology team.     What We're Looking For

    • The ability to design your code with empathy and smart abstractions
    • Have worked for 8+ years as a full stack engineer and have led or mentored teams
    • Understand IoT principles and have worked on a production grade connected device project. Comfort with NFC is a plus
    • Deep experience in a modern language such as Node.js or Golang. In a modern database such as Postgresql or MongoDB/Atlas. And in modern infrastructure such as Containers-based or Serverless
    • Are comfortable designing and implementing RESTful APIs and adhere to an API-first philosophy 
    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with non-technical stakeholders

    We are currently looking for an experienced software developer who is interested in building amazing products and solving real problems.     What You Will Do

    • Build scalable and reliable software solutions for internal and external projects
    • Participate in rapid prototyping sprints with designers and product managers
    • Lead backend development and architecture
    • Improve the team through quality code reviews
    • Create standards and reusable components to help us scale faster and more efficiently

    What You Will Bring

    • Examples of secure and elegant software development on production systems
    • 5+ years of prior engineering experience
    • Fluency in modern Javascript frameworks including: Node, React, Angular and Express
    • Significant experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc) and non-relational databased (MongoDB)
    • Experience working with Django and Python
    • Experience building RESTful APIs
    • Experience managing DevOps within AWS
