Audio-Visual Project Engineer

Due to a highly successful first few months of 2021, they are now looking to expand their team by appointing an Audio-Visual project engineer to ensure the technical running of multiple projects throughout Cheshire, London and throughout the UK, including predominantly Audio-Visual and Cinema Rooms, along with Security Systems, Lighting and Heating.
Leading a team of engineers and sub-contractors to deliver the company’s Audio-Visual solution in their home automation projects.
This role encompasses the delivery of the system from managing the first fix installation, to installing the audio-visual equipment and rack building, programming the system and final handover to the end client. You will be assisted by a team of engineers and subcontracts who you will need to lead to deliver the projects on time and on budget.
Each day will be varied, the role will be largely site based across their Cheshire projects.
•Technical leadership and planning of residential projects within the company portfolio.
•Delivery of multiple, simultaneous projects predominantly across the North West, London, and occasionally overseas.
•Assisting with quotations & design (CAD & D-Tools & Visio).
•Maintaining on-going communications with external stakeholders, from customers to subcontractors.
•Project management and labour forecasting
•Monitor and report on the technical progress on all required deliverables.
•Adherence to deadlines & budgets.
•Completion of work to agreed standard.
•Advise all relevant internal and external parties of any deviation from schedule or budget.
•Forecast & Manage resource (and associated cost) throughout the entirety of each project.
•Provide detailed technical requirements for each project.
•Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the business.
•Support engineers, maintaining drive and focus.
•Promote a mind-set of personal accountability.
•Provide guidance to less experienced team members and apprentice’s - assist with the mentoring and development of staff to reach their maximum potential.
Technical Skills and Required Experience
•A strong proven technical, audio visual background with at least 4 years’ experience of delivering high-end Audio-Visual systems in the residential market.
•Control4 programming experience. (Crestron, AMX or RTI considered).
•Experience of the project management & delivery cycle of high-end Audio-Visual systems.
•Networking & IT infrastructure skills.
•Commissioning & testing of audio-visual systems.
•Use of D-Tools.
•CCTV system design, installation, and commissioning.
•Procedure design & development.
•Staff development – training and the delivery of appraisals.
•Use of CAD.
Salary / package:
The successful candidate will be provided with an equipped company van, laptop computer and mobile phone.
Remuneration: £35,000 – £40,000 DOE
Exceptional candidates would have the opportunity to progress beyond the current pay scales.

Senior Sound Designer
Cloud Imperium Games are looking for a Senior Sound Designer to join the audio team working in-house at our studio in Wilmslow, UK. As part of the team you will record, design and implement audio for our Star Citizen and Squadron 42 games in a cooperative cross disciplinary environment.
You will need strong technical knowledge of Wwise middleware and a wealth of industry experience with at least three AAA titles under your belt. The successful applicant will be required to adapt and adjust to different development tools, as we’re constantly developing new audio tech. Our project is extremely complex in nature so you will be expected to contribute to the progress of systems and tools that allow nuanced, articulate sound to bring life to our games via efficient workflow.
As a Senior Sound Designer, as well as the usual prerequisites of producing world class sound content and setting a high audio standard internally, you’ll also have some responsibility for mentoring and training juniors, and for defining and communicating how best to do what we do in CIG Audio.
In depth experience in working on MMO, FPS and Flight/Vehicle titles will prove useful, and a love of science fiction always helps!
