This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dialogue Audio Engineer to join our multi-award winning Total War team at our game development studio in Horsham, based in the heart of Sussex, England.
Reporting to the Lead Dialogue Engineer, the Dialogue Audio Engineers’ primary role is to create AAA calibre dialogue production on assigned projects. Using our in-house, high spec, audio facilities the right candidate will be working with our team of audio engineers, technicians and programmers to deliver a stellar audio experience for Total War titles developed at the studio.
It would be advantageous to have prior experience working with game audio and specifically middleware for implementation and mixing. Priority will be given to applicants with this experience.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our wider and experienced dialogue engineering team, you will work with a wide range of developers to deliver a AAA dialogue experience in line with the styling and feedback set out by the Audio Director.
On a day to day basis you will:
  • Take ownership of the scoping, production and delivery of Dialogue for both individual characters and group assets on assigned projects
  • Cast and audition actors, directing the performance in line with a brief, recording and editing the final content and then mixing dialogue in-game using Wwise or other 3rd party tools and also to commercial standards for in-game and cut-scene linear usage
  • Liaise with our internal quality assurance team and Development Managers to ensure dialogue testing is adequately covered
  • Mentor junior members of the team
  • Carry out voice design work using plug ins and specific recording techniques for non-humanoid characters
  • Work with script writers and designers to ensure a rich dialogue experience which is both varied and believable
  • Look to continually evaluate and improve the dialogue experience and design by keeping abreast of current successful titles and trends in dialogue production and implementation
Knowledge, Skill and Experience

Essential
  • Extensive experience as an in-house game or post-production audio engineer commercially recording dialogue
  • Proven experience directing actors and crowd sessions
  • Advanced dialogue recording and editorial skills
  • Ability to record, track-lay and mix dialogue to picture to commercial standards
  • ProTools 10 or above experience to advanced level
  • Proficient Waves Plugins, Izotope RX
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Able to review work of others and present detailed and constructive feedback

This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to step into a new role at a growing company.

We are looking for a qualified acoustic consultant, preferably with at least three years’ experience. The role will primarily be to complete acoustic surveys, tests and reports, and eventually to train new staff as this side of the company starts to grow.

Based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, we have vast experience in Air Tightness Testing, Sound Insulation Testing and Ventilation Testing, SAP Calculations and EPCs.  Because of our expertise in Building Regulations Part E sound testing, we often get asked to complete external acoustic surveys, but as of now have nobody in-house who can complete them.

We are a small but growing company with an emphasis on being customer-focused, friendly and knowledgeable.

Candidate

The company are seeking an experienced acoustic consultant who has the ability to work via their own initiative, whilst maintaining a team orientated attitude. You must be degree qualified in acoustics or a similar discipline, and also be able to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.

 

We are looking for a minimum of three years’ experience.

The Acoustic Consultant must be familiar with BB93, BS4142, BS8223, BREEAM and Approved Document E, and be able to produce reports to comply with these standards.

You must be able to work on projects without any help from other team members. This is a new role for the company and will be headed by the hired consultant.

 

We would also lean very favourably towards a candidate who is willing to learn to be a SAP/Energy assessor, to assist our current energy assessor, and also fill any down-time whilst we build up this side of our business.

 

Candidate must hold a full clean driving licence.

 

 

ALL applicants MUST be able to get to and from our offices in Borehamwood and have a good level of Maths and English.

AV Performance Account Director

 

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced AV Performance Account Director to join Springboard, MediaCom’s new division targeting start-up and high growth businesses.  This is a new and exciting part of MediaCom’s growth plan and will involve working on Springboard’s newest win, Revolut, as well as being a key part of new business pitching throughout 2021.

You will also be part of the AV planning team working in one of MediaCom’s business groups with responsibilities across clients such as DLG, Tempur and QVC.

You will be responsible for the delivery of media recommendations across all facets of AV, including TV, Broadcaster VOD, Audio and Cinema. Planning will cover both brand and response, but with a heavy focus on being able to demonstrate an analytical rigour behind your planning to drive tangible business growth.

As part of the AV planning team, you will be a vital part of “System Planning” at the agency, which guides our planning process. You will need to understand this process and make sure that our response to brief follows the framework.

Understanding and developing AV and the latest technologies is fundamental to us delivering brilliant work for our clients and is behind much of our award winning work. You will work closely with planning specialists in other media (e.g. digital, publishing, outdoor) to formulate one ‘connected’ response to our client briefs.

All buying will be done by a different department, with a full handover of campaigns when signed off by the client.

You will work as part of a team of 9 AV planning experts, who plan all elements of AV across a wide range of categories.

You will report into the Implementation Directorand also the Head of Springboard.

What will you need?

  • Strong background working on acquisition focused clients, with an ability to clearly demonstrate how you have directly contributed to improvements in AV’s effectiveness in growing your client’s business. This should include an understanding of the balance between delivering long & short term KPIS, so an experience of brand and performance is required.
  • The ability to plan against client outcomes – quantifying objectives and the likely impact of comms on them; understand bottom-up response-based planning; able to set a measurement approach.
  • Experienced and comfortable working with econometric outputs and TV attribution data sets (Adalyser, TVsqaured or similar) to inform planning approach.
  • Knowledge of industry media planning tools e.g.Techedge, BARB, Media Ocean, TGI, NRS, Comscore, Rajar.
  • Implementational knowledge of multimedia planning tools e.g. TGI, Media Multiplier, Touchpoints.
  • Analytical skillset with the ability to extract and filter relevant insights to support planning decisions.
  • Ability to tell compelling implementation stories (with the aim to interweave roles, flighting, weights, formats of different media and how they interrelate).
  • Genuine interest in industry research and new ways of working.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate in a concise and clear way.

You will be responsible for the delivery of media recommendations across all facets of AV, including TV, Broadcaster VOD, Audio and Cinema. Planning will cover both brand and response, but with a heavy focus on being able to demonstrate an analytical rigour behind your planning to drive tangible business growth.

As part of the AV planning team, you will be a vital part of “System Planning” at the agency, which guides our planning process. You will need to understand this process and make sure that our response to brief follows the framework.

Understanding and developing AV and the latest technologies is fundamental to us delivering brilliant work for our clients and is behind much of our award winning work. You will work closely with planning specialists in other media (e.g. digital, publishing, outdoor) to formulate one ‘connected’ response to our client briefs.

All buying will be done by a different department, with a full handover of campaigns when signed off by the client.

You will work as part of a team of 9 AV planning experts, who plan all elements of AV across a wide range of categories.

What will you need?

  • Strong background working on acquisition focused clients, with an ability to clearly demonstrate how you have directly contributed to improvements in AV’s effectiveness in growing your client’s business. This should include an understanding of the balance between delivering long & short term KPIS, so an experience of brand and performance is required.
  • The ability to plan against client outcomes – quantifying objectives and the likely impact of comms on them; understand bottom-up response-based planning; able to set a measurement approach.
  • Experienced and comfortable working with econometric outputs and TV attribution data sets (Adalyser, TVsqaured or similar) to inform planning approach.
  • Knowledge of industry media planning tools e.g.Techedge, BARB, Media Ocean, TGI, NRS, Comscore, Rajar.
  • Implementational knowledge of multimedia planning tools e.g. TGI, Media Multiplier, Touchpoints.
  • Analytical skillset with the ability to extract and filter relevant insights to support planning decisions.
  • Ability to tell compelling implementation stories (with the aim to interweave roles, flighting, weights, formats of different media and how they interrelate).
  • Genuine interest in industry research and new ways of working.
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to articulate in a concise and clear way.
  • A can-do attitude, finding solutions to unusual questions and problems.
  • Experience in managing, developing and leading a team of AV planners.
  • Proven track record of setting up a test and learn mechanicwith third party measurement or research partners.
  • An understanding on what specialisms sit within a traditional media agency and how to leverage them to improve recommendations for clients.

Production Team Member Role

To work with the Production Team Leader, Production Team members and Production Team Ferag Operator in providing support for Press, CTP and Ferag stacker within the production departments. Work within departments to ensure an effective operation in achieving business targets.

 

Within this role you will be required to cover and assist with CTP plate production and handling, on press printing activities, including make ready, paper handling, printing and Housekeeping. Working in Post press with assisting with stacker duties, and incorporating dispatch when required.

Description

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Dialogue Audio Engineer to join our multi-award winning Total War team at our game development studio in Horsham, based in the heart of Sussex, England.

Reporting to the Lead Dialogue Engineer, the Dialogue Audio Engineers’ primary role is to create AAA calibre dialogue production on assigned projects. Using our in-house, high spec, audio facilities the right candidate will be working with our team of audio engineers, technicians and programmers to deliver a stellar audio experience for Total War titles developed at the studio.

It would be advantageous to have prior experience working with game audio and specifically middleware for implementation and mixing. Priority will be given to applicants with this experience.

Key Responsibilities

As part of our wider and experienced dialogue engineering team, you will work with a wide range of developers to deliver a AAA dialogue experience in line with the styling and feedback set out by the Audio Director.

On a day to day basis you will:
  • Take ownership of the scoping, production and delivery of Dialogue for both individual characters and group assets on assigned projects
  • Cast and audition actors, directing the performance in line with a brief, recording and editing the final content and then mixing dialogue in-game using Wwise or other 3rd party tools and also to commercial standards for in-game and cut-scene linear usage
  • Liaise with our internal quality assurance team and Development Managers to ensure dialogue testing is adequately covered
  • Mentor junior members of the team
  • Carry out voice design work using plug ins and specific recording techniques for non-humanoid characters
  • Work with script writers and designers to ensure a rich dialogue experience which is both varied and believable
  • Look to continually evaluate and improve the dialogue experience and design by keeping abreast of current successful titles and trends in dialogue production and implementation
Knowledge, Skill and Experience 

Essential
  • Extensive experience as an in-house game or post-production audio engineer commercially recording dialogue
  • Proven experience directing actors and crowd sessions
  • Advanced dialogue recording and editorial skills
  • Ability to record, track-lay and mix dialogue to picture to commercial standards
  • ProTools 10 or above experience to advanced level
  • Proficient Waves Plugins, Izotope RX
