GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assistant Store Managers lead by example and supervise store associates to ensure delivery of an inspiring and uniquely responsive customer experience through service that is friendly, enthusiastic, passionate and real. Assistant Store Managers assist in developing and implementing action plans that meet service levels and balance task completion. Coaches behaviors that align with the company values of Accountability, Collaboration, Humility and Passion. Each Assistant Store Manager is expected to communicate fashion trend information to store associates to promote product knowledge. Assistant Store Managers assist Store Manager in translating the trend into effective visual presentation, and they ensure that the presentation standards are in line with the company's direction and consistently represent the brand image. Assistant Store Managers assist with inventory control and financial processes.
REPORTS TO: Assistant Store Managers report to the Store Manager. In higher volume stores, the Assistant Store Managers also report to the Operations or Merchandise Manager.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assistant Store Managers ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence within the store by focusing on the followin
- Sales and Service - Leads associate engagement and implementation of financial plans to maintain KPI performance on a weekly basis. Meets Rewards and KPI goals by reinforcing behaviors that support Check, Check, Match and the values of the company. Provides recognition and feedback to improve performance. Responds to customer feedback with a sense of urgency.
- Associate and Team Development - Assists with the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of associates. Helps identify and provide associate training, product and trend information. Provides feedback to management on associate performance. Communicates associate goals and provides developmental opportunities, feedback and coaching to support the growth of the company. Seeks opportunities for personal performance growth and demonstrates interest in building leadership skills. Assists with daily associate relations issues and annual performance review process.
- Merchandising - Participates in and leads associates in merchandise placement, shipment processing and store recovery. Assists in the communication and execution of presentation standards that are consistent with brand image. Ensures store is compliant with established ”Brand Experience” standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
- Operations - Ensures consistency in daily housekeeping. Ensures all inventory and pricing directives are implemented. Opens and closes store in rotation with management staff. Leads by example ensuring company policy and procedural compliance. Maintains Loss Prevention and Safety standards. Adheres to daily store cleaning, recovery and maintenance. Reviews communication materials (Footnotes, memos, e-mail, etc) and follows up accordingly. Uses monthly Ops Assessment to identify and correct operational deficiencies in the store.

HOLLYWOOD FEED STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Hollywood Feed Store Manager, your position duties and requirements can include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet, interact with, and assist customers daily according to customer service standards
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors and coworkers
  • Attend educational classes on a monthly or bi-monthly basis for further education
  • Unload pallets and stock shelves
  • Keep up with basic weekly store maintenance duties: cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, creating displays, putting out new pricing, etc.
  • Must be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle
  • A minimum of 45 hours per week
  • Close the store at least 3 days per week and work at least three Saturdays per month
  • You are expected to maintain sales growth 
  • For a bonusing store, you must meet the minimum 5% growth to receive a pay increase. This pay increase is built by calculating a bonus of 5.5% of net income once the costs of interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization are added back in and after paying a flat $70,000 to company overhead. This bonus is then added to your annual base pay and calculated out to an hourly rate. 
  • Mystery Shops and store reviews will be appraised on an individual basis by your regional manager. A Hollywood Feed level of performance is expected.
  • Inventory Management:
    1. Keep inventory correct and items in stock – If you don’t have it, you can’t sell it. Out of stock items will cause suffering in sales growth. 
    2. Orders must be received into inventory when delivered by using the auto-receiving process. If the delivery is overnight, it must be done first thing the next day
    3. Attend at least 6 cycle counts per year
  • Staff Development:
    1. Ensure that the entire staff maintains Hollywood Feed’s customer service standards.
    2. Perform bi-annual appraisals in UltiPro. Be honest and thorough. Provide both constructive criticisms and positive feedback related to their individual performance. 
    3. Foster a spirit of teamwork within your store 
    4. Maintain Staff Performance through coaching, communication, rewarding, counseling, and discipline
    5. Motivate your team
    6. Uphold and enforce HWF policy and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook 
    7. Schedule and perform monthly store meetings.
  • Store Operations
    1. Make a proper weekly schedule and have it posted in UltiPro at least 7 days prior to the start of the week
    2. Meet Hollywood Feed standards of business with a clean, organized, and well-kept store 
    3. Create consistent to do lists and follow up on completion
    4. Search for avenues to reach out into the community by attending or creating events 

As a Hollywood Feed store employee, your requirements can include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Physically able to lift 40lbs repeatedly up to head height to stock shelves multiple times a day
  • Physically able to repeatedly lift and carry 40lbs up to 40 ft in distance multiple times a day

HOLLYWOOD FEED STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Hollywood Feed Store Manager, your position duties and requirements can include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Greet, interact with, and assist customers daily according to customer service standards
  • Communicate openly and respectfully with supervisors and coworkers
  • Attend educational classes on a monthly or bi-monthly basis for further education
  • Unload pallets and stock shelves
  • Keep up with basic weekly store maintenance duties: cleaning bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, dusting, creating displays, putting out new pricing, etc.
  • Must be willing to drive our company owned Same Day Delivery Vehicle
  • A minimum of 45 hours per week
  • Close the store at least 3 days per week and work at least three Saturdays per month
  • You are expected to maintain sales growth 
  • For a bonusing store, you must meet the minimum 5% growth to receive a pay increase. This pay increase is built by calculating a bonus of 5.5% of net income once the costs of interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization are added back in and after paying a flat $70,000 to company overhead. This bonus is then added to your annual base pay and calculated out to an hourly rate. 
  • Mystery Shops and store reviews will be appraised on an individual basis by your regional manager. A Hollywood Feed level of performance is expected.
  • Inventory Management:
    1. Keep inventory correct and items in stock – If you don’t have it, you can’t sell it. Out of stock items will cause suffering in sales growth. 
    2. Orders must be received into inventory when delivered by using the auto-receiving process. If the delivery is overnight, it must be done first thing the next day
    3. Attend at least 6 cycle counts per year
  • Staff Development:
    1. Ensure that the entire staff maintains Hollywood Feed’s customer service standards.
    2. Perform bi-annual appraisals in UltiPro. Be honest and thorough. Provide both constructive criticisms and positive feedback related to their individual performance. 
    3. Foster a spirit of teamwork within your store 
    4. Maintain Staff Performance through coaching, communication, rewarding, counseling, and discipline
    5. Motivate your team
    6. Uphold and enforce HWF policy and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook 
    7. Schedule and perform monthly store meetings.
  • Store Operations
    1. Make a proper weekly schedule and have it posted in UltiPro at least 7 days prior to the start of the week

GENERAL SUMMARY:
Assistant Store Managers lead by example and supervise store associates to ensure delivery of an inspiring and uniquely responsive customer experience through service that is friendly, enthusiastic, passionate and real. Assistant Store Managers assist in developing and implementing action plans that meet service levels and balance task completion. Coaches behaviors that align with the company values of Accountability, Collaboration, Humility and Passion. Each Assistant Store Manager is expected to communicate fashion trend information to store associates to promote product knowledge. Assistant Store Managers assist Store Manager in translating the trend into effective visual presentation, and they ensure that the presentation standards are in line with the company's direction and consistently represent the brand image. Assistant Store Managers assist with inventory control and financial processes.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Store Managers report to the Store Manager. In higher volume stores, the Assistant Store Managers also report to the Operations or Merchandise Manager.

SALES/MERCHANDISE VOLUME RESPONSIBILITY:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assistant Store Managers ensure customer satisfaction and operational excellence within the store by focusing on the followin
- Sales and Service - Leads associate engagement and implementation of financial plans to maintain KPI performance on a weekly basis. Meets Rewards and KPI goals by reinforcing behaviors that support Check, Check, Match and the values of the company. Provides recognition and feedback to improve performance. Responds to customer feedback with a sense of urgency.
- Associate and Team Development - Assists with the recruitment, hiring and on-boarding of associates. Helps identify and provide associate training, product and trend information. Provides feedback to management on associate performance. Communicates associate goals and provides developmental opportunities, feedback and coaching to support the growth of the company. Seeks opportunities for personal performance growth and demonstrates interest in building leadership skills. Assists with daily associate relations issues and annual performance review process.
- Merchandising - Participates in and leads associates in merchandise placement, shipment processing and store recovery. Assists in the communication and execution of presentation standards that are consistent with brand image. Ensures store is compliant with established ”Brand Experience” standards. Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager.
- Operations - Ensures consistency in daily housekeeping. Ensures all inventory and pricing directives are implemented. Opens and closes store in rotation with management staff. Leads by example ensuring company policy and procedural compliance. Maintains Loss Prevention and Safety standards. Adheres to daily store cleaning, recovery and maintenance. Reviews communication materials (Footnotes, memos, e-mail, etc) and follows up accordingly. Uses monthly Ops Assessment to identify and correct operational deficiencies in the store.
- Other Duties - Performs other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or other supervisor.
