Our products can be seen in most major furniture retailers throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico. As both a designer and distributor, with over 60,000 square feet of wholesale showroom space and thousands of products that we sell, our product is constantly changing.

Warehouse Driver

Provide assistance and support to both internal and external customers through the performance of a variety of warehouse and delivery duties.  This position reports to the Warehouse Manager.

IN THIS ROLE

• Drive the furniture truck/trailer to meet deadlines in a safe and careful manner to the requested destination
• Inspect truck/tractor and trailer for defects and safe operating condition before, during and after trips. Submit a written report on the condition of the truck at the beginning and end of shift.
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving skills in maneuvering vehicle at varying speeds in difficult situations, such as heavy traffic, inclement weather. Must be able to operate equipment in all types of weather and conditions. This includes going forward and backing up long distances, around corners and in and around tight areas.
• Load and unload furniture truck/trailer
• Deliver high levels of customer service to our external and internal customers
• Ensure paperwork is accurate and completed in a timely fashion
• Assure the truck remains in proper and safe working order and that routine and required maintenance occurs on a timely basis
• Comply with all Federal, State and local laws regulating safe driving and operating of a commercial vehicle
• Other duties in a warehouse environment as assigned by Management

THE IDEAL PERSON

• Must have 2 years commercial driving experience
• Must have a valid Class A Driver’s License
• Minimum of one year equipment operation experience is required (i.e., forklift, order picker)
• Ability to move/position product weighing up to 150 lbs. without assistance and up to 250 lbs. with the assistance of a dolly or other equipment
• Must be able to constantly work in an open/outdoor warehouse environment
• Must be able to frequently position self to maintain/move product throughout the facility and be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Have the capacity to grow and be adaptable
• Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Have the ability to read and write the English language
• Able to read maps, road signs and shipping receipts
• Experience in the furniture/freight industry
• Must pass the Company’s MVR policy
• Exceptional communication skills
• Time management and multi-tasking skills that enable you to work in a time pressured environment
• Be a key influence of the team and lead by example
