Summary of the Role
As a Counter Sales Warehouse Person you will be responsible for supporting the depot in exceeding sales targets by building excellent relationships with local trade. You will also be responsible for effective stock maintenance, compliance with strict health and safety regulations and high standards of customer services.

The Role

• Provide a great sales service, making sure the customer always has everything they need.
• Managing your accounts and building up your customer base.
• Deal with customers in a courteous, professional and knowledgeable way.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within the warehouse including; stock rotation, cleanliness, tidiness and compliance with Health & Safety guidelines.
• Carry out security and compliance checks on all incoming stock and outgoing orders while adhering to stock management guidelines to ensure accuracy.
• Carry out daily checks on the forklift truck and other mechanical equipment and report all defects to the Depot Manager.

About the Activities
  • Create the Tender Management system helping to ensure growth in priority sectors, monitor the markets through digital tender portals such as TED to guarantee Total’s participation in all relevant tender opportunities.
    • Establish KPI/gates to identify/select relevant opportunities
  • Respond to all relevant tender opportunities working with the sales teams driving profitable growth.
  • Working with marketing develop market navigators to identify sustainable growth opportunities in the lubricants business.
  • Maximise cross selling opportunities leading to profitable growth across Total’s whole portfolio both in legacy business and   other markets.
  • Ensure that the Total UK lubricants business adheres to the group pricing guidelines including minimum pricing and blockbuster parameters whilst ensuring the coherence of our commercial offer.
  • Analyse and communicate data following Peer pricing reviews.
  • Analyse monthly cession price data in order to propose pricing movements to the quarterly pricing committees.
  • Develop the channel pricing strategies with the sales managers to drive maximum value.
  • Analyse Compass Data to propose pricing evolutions.
  • Key user and promotion of the PriceInsight application.
  • Analyse outputs from the PriceInsight application to provide inputs into quarterly pricing committees.
  • Monitor the competitor landscape and publish competitor benchmarks to identify development opportunities for Total.
  • Record and track tender opportunities through Salsa
About the Job Dimensions
The Tender and Pricing coordinator has the responsibility to research, track and submit calls for tender in line with the business roadmaps. In addition the position holder is responsible for coordinating the channel pricing strategies, analyzing data through Compass and proposing pricing movements to the quarterly price committees to ensure that the business profitability goals are adhered to. Furthermore the coordinator is charged with promoting, harvesting and analyzing data input by the business in the Priceinsight application.
Strategic Objectives:
  • Identify growth opportunities through calls for tender, submit tender proposals and lead projects through to their fruition.
  • Establish a tender document repository.
  • Ensure that UK pricing is in line with the lubricants channel procedures and methodology.
  • Define with the sales managers the commercial pricing strategy
  • Establish a competitor study and benchmark
  • Analyse the clients and markets in order to identify business opportunities
